The Hiking
Each day there will be an option to do either a more challenging or more moderate hike, or take a lay day and just enjoy the local alpine villages. The trails are scenic with some steep sections but each day there are a variety of trail options.
The Lodges
This is definitely a comfortable hiking trip! We will be hiking during the day and staying in very nice and comfortable lodges at night. We have a mix of luxury lodges with very nice, boutique lodge that give you a more intimate experience of the local cuisine and culture. On several of the days, the lodges have nice pools and spas for you to spend a lovely afternoon after a day on the trails.
Our tour begins in the world-famous city of Venice, Italy. You can choose to spend some extra time here before or after our Dolomites trek. Known for its stunning architecture, rich history, art & culture, this enchanting city built on a group of 188 small islands and separated by canals with boutique shops and incredible restaurants…is a perfect way to end your trip hiking in the mountains!
This 9-day trekking tour combines incredible day trekking through the most iconic trails of the Dolomites with deluxe alpine lodges in charming villages. The Dolomites are a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, and snowboarding. The region has over 12,000 kilometers of hiking trails, ranging from easy walks to challenging treks, which offer stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
After several miles of alpine hiking, you will arrive to a mountain hut to enjoy a delicious warm meal and a tasty beverage…you will also be warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly, Ladin people. There are about 30,000 Ladins divided into 5 valleys around the Sella Group (Val Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Livinallongo, Ampezzo). Each valley has its own idioms. Sometimes words can be completely different from one valley to another. This place is not only rich in natural history and mountain treasures, there is an incredible culture integrated within the region. We look forward to sharing it with you!

Wilderness Life Support for Medical Professionals
To provide a practical foundation in Wilderness Medicine for medical professionals. This course covers patient assessment in remote settings and treatment guidelines for life support until definitive care or evacuation is available. Medical professionals get the opportunity to step away from the comfort of their own hospitals/clinics and learn skills that they can use in any setting. The course is fun, dynamic, and empowering.
Topics include: Patient assessment, Trauma, Medical problems, Infectious disease, Head, ear, eye, nose, throat & skin conditions, Animal & insect bites, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Wound management, Water treatment, Hyperthermia, hypothermia & frostbite, Medical kits, Lightning, High altitude illness (HACE, HAPE) & Dive Medicine

Yes! As long as the trip is booked before the final payment is due (90 days before trip start). A non-refundable deposit secures your spot on the trip.
Our CME trips are all accredited for physicians, NPs, PAs and also provide CEUs for Nurses. We provide course information for all the courses that you can submit to your employer. After the trip/course is complete, we provide you with a CME certificate within 2-4 weeks
We provide you with a comprehensive Welcome Package that includes a packing list, resources, course materials, and helpful travel tips for your upcoming adventure.
Yes! We welcome loved ones and non-medical guests. They are welcome to attend all of our workshops and lectures while on the trip at no further cost. Some of our trips are even kid-friendly, depending on the trip and age of your children. Please send us an email to inquire about this possibility.
