This will be our 6th year running surf and yoga trips to Nosara…and you will soon see why we return every year..Nosara captures people in a way that is hard to describe – the jungle beach town is bursting with healthy restaurants, juice bars, boutique shops, and incredible surf. Our trip is based at the world-famous, Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort.

Trip Description
Pristine Nature
Nosara is located in a tropical heaven of mangroves, lush vegetation, and abundant wildlife. The pristine and undeveloped coastline creates a beautiful backdrop for the amazing sunsets. On the MedTreks trip, there will be optional activities to kayak the mangroves, zip-line through the jungle, or hike to a local waterfall.

Our home for the week is located on Playa Guiones, known for its consistent and friendly surfing conditions, 365 days a year. Silky white sand and warm crystalline waters make this a perfect surfing location for novices and advanced surfers alike. No large resorts, no high-rise buildings… just peace.
Between the warm waters, the coastal temperatures, and the sounds of nature, this place is incredibly relaxing and a perfect opportunity to spend a week focusing on restoring balance and rejuvenating your body, mind, and soul…. Expect yoga, surf, meditation, breathwork, swimming, hiking, and nutritious foods.

The Balinese-inspired grounds and accommodations are perched on eight acres of tropical jungle, with waterfalls and gentle streams to inspire rest, meditation & reflection. The resort has 4 incredibly unique and beautiful yoga shalas, two salt-water pools with a poolside juice bar. The restaurant provides fresh, organic, and nutritious meals each day, included in your stay.

Bodhi Tree offers a world-class yoga facility with Balinese-style hardwood floor yoga shalas with 360 degree views. MedTreks will host a daily yoga class but you are also free to explore many of the other community classes that are offered at Bodhi Tree for additional purchase. Yoga classes at Bodhi Tree include Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Breathwork, Sound Bath. The resort has incredible yoga instructors and we highly recommend taking a few different classes!

CME Fee: $695 (classes will be held in the morning)
CEU Fee: $350
Optional 20 hr Medical Spanish Course: $525 (class will be held in the afternoon)

How to Book
A $750 non-refundable deposit reserves your spot. You will receive a welcome packet with arrival/departure information, packing list and helpful resources as you plan for this adventure. The remainder of the payment is due 90 days before the trip begins.
Payment plans available. Participants are also able to accept contributions from loved ones/friends/colleagues to help cover their trip cost.
Our boutique travel and medical education company has a unique history of running trips for medical professionals since the 1980s. Regularly working in the Emergency Department and for a global health program in Kenya, the owner of MedTreks continues to stay involved in the details and execution of every trip. Our extensive experience not only in the travel industry by also in the medical profession, allows us to design trips specifically catered to the needs of medical professionals. Our goal at MedTreks is to provide the healthcare community with an opportunity to enjoy medical education while on vacation – to have fun, learn, connect and recharge, while exploring incredible corners of world. Yes! As long as the trip is booked before the final payment is due (90 days before trip start). A non-refundable deposit secures your spot on the trip.
Our CME trips are all accredited for physicians, NPs, PAs and also provide CEUs for Nurses. We provide course information for all the courses that you can submit to your employer. After the trip/course is complete, we provide you with a CME certificate within 2-4 weeks
We provide you with a comprehensive Welcome Package that includes a packing list, resources, course materials, and helpful travel tips for your upcoming adventure.
Yes! We welcome loved ones and non-medical guests. They are welcome to attend all of our workshops and lectures while on the trip at no further cost. Some of our trips are even kid-friendly, depending on the trip and age of your children. Please send us an email to inquire about this possibility.
Our trips provide comfortable and boutique lodging experiences, with mostly 4-star hotels that provide good food and quality service. Over the years, we have hand-crafted our itineraries to include some of the most charming accommodations.
