    PEOPLE & PLACE

    The "Cal Salmon Experience"

The ultimate luxury, multi-sport adventure camp trip. Think comfortable, walk-in tents, gourmet riverside meals, fun and exciting whitewater, campfires under the stars, sauna, and hot showers… this trip is hard to beat! Nestled in a remote and pristine wild region in California’s northwest corner, the California Salmon River is hidden about halfway between San Francisco and Portland, Oregon. The “Cal Salmon” combines beautiful, lush coastal scenery, an intimate, marble-smooth, granite inner gorge, a seemingly endless number of waterfalls cascading from above, emerald-green waters, a very comfortable pop-up base camp with hot showers, a wood-fired sauna, and unequaled class IV-V fun whitewater.

    Sauna Glamping

    Wood-Fired Sauna

The wood fired sauna provides a cozy way to unwind after a great day on the river before tucking into your sleeping bag at night. Hot showers are also part of the sauna experience!
    Whitewater Rafting & Glamping

    Walk-in tents, cots & pads

The comfortable camping is next level. The tents are walk-in with floor runners, side tables and solar lamps. There are cots with thick, comfortable pads, sheets, blankets, pillows and sleeping bags
    Glamping Food

    Gourmet Camp Cuisine

Camp food taken to the next level: healthy, flavorful, beautiful presented with mostly local ingredients. The food is homemade, diverse, and served with a combination of style and wilderness practicality.
    Whitewater Rafting

    Incredible Whitewater

Our riverside camp is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of river in Northern California. You may choose to explore the surrounding area or taking an early morning jog deep inside the river canyon. It is remote and no other place is like it.
